Viking Striker Samuel Adegbenro Reveals He Was Not Under Pressure To ScoreViking striker Samuel Adegbenro has revealed that he was not under pressure from any quarters to open his account in the Norwegian Tippeligaen before he scored in his side’s 2-0 win against Tromsø this past weekend.

The former Kwara United star is optimistic that Viking will qualify for the Europa League at the end of the 2016 season, having missed out on a spot last term by just three points.

“The season has been good so far, I was not under pressure to score. Sometimes it happens like that that you are not scoring, as long as I am playing good,” said Samuel Adegbenro to allnigeriasoccer.com.

“For me, I don’t target the number of goals I’ll end up with, I believe in what God has destined. I understand my strike partner Suleiman Abdullahi very well, we are friends from Nigeria.

“Our target this season is to finish in the top three so we can qualify for the Europa League.

Samuel Adegbenro has been named in Viking
’s starting XI eight times in the ongoing season from a possible nine games.
