Premier League Wrap: Iheanacho Nets 8th Goal; Tomori Debuts For Chelsea; Iwobi Benched; Ibe Scores Beauty; Moses,Emenike Subbed InCatch up on the performances of players of Nigerian descent in the English Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Super Eagles rising star Alex Iwobi failed to start for Arsenal for the first time in nine Premier League matches as the Londoners recorded a 4-0 win against demoted Aston Villa.

Iwobi remained on the bench; former England international Gabby Agbonlahor did not travel with the Aston Villa squad.

Still in London, John Obi Mikel was rested as Chelsea drew 1-1 with champions Leicester City at Stamford Bridge. Canada U20 international Fikayo Tomori made his competitive debut for The Blues when he was introduced on the hour mark.

Manchester City will return to the Champions League next season thanks to their 1-1 draw at Swansea City. Ex-Golden Eaglets star Kelechi Iheanacho scored from close range in the fifth minute and subbed out in the 72nd minute.

Togo international Emmanuel Adebayor started and played the full ninety minutes as Crystal Palace lost 4-1 to Southampton at St. Mary’s Stadium.

England U21 international Jordon Ibe played 64 minutes of Liverpool’s 1-1 draw at West Brom, for whom Victor Anichebe did not make the squad.

Ibe’s superb solo effort leveled things for Liverpool in the 23rd minute. The Reds number 54 Sheyi Ojo played for 81 minutes while Portugal youth international Tiago Ilori watched proceedings on the bench.

Everton earned a comfortable 3-0 victory versus Norwich City, with England midfielder Ross Barkley playing the last 21 minutes for the Toffees at Goodison Park.

Elsewhere, at the Vic, Odion Ighalo finished the season with 15 goals after firing blanks in Watford’s 2-2 draw with Sunderland. The Super Eagle played the full game while teammate and Scotland star Ikechi Anya was on the bench for this one.

Dele Alli wasn’t involved for Tottenham Hotspur in their 5-1 loss to Newcastle United at St. James’ Park. England youth-teamer Josh Onomah was introduced in the 46th minute.

Finally, Emmanuel Emenike and Victor Moses were second-half substitutes as West Ham were beaten 2-1 by Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium . The Fenerbahce loanee came on in the 61st minute while Moses was introduced four minutes from time.

Italy international Angelo Ogbonna clocked up another ninety minutes for the Hammers.
