Liverpool Winger Ibe Reflects On Wonder Goal Against West Brom
Published: May 16, 2016
England U21 international Jordon Ibe believes his fine individual goal against West Brom on the final day of the season will boost his confidence next term.
The winger ran half of the length of the pitch before firing past the Baggies netminder Ben Foster in the 23rd minute.
“Getting past the full-back, I was fortunate enough to come inside and get the shot off. It was good to get a goal for the team,” Ibe told liverpoolfc.com.
“I’ve been trying to work on this stuff in training, watching a lot of the other players. It’s good for confidence.
“(This season has been) ups and downs. It’s still a learning curve for me. Hopefully I can bounce back and do better than this season next season.”
The 20-year-old Ibe appeared 41 times for the first team of Liverpool in the 2015-2016 campaign and scored 4 goals (4 assists).
