Published: July 25, 2016
New Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has included four players of Nigerian descent in his squad list for the club’s pre-season tour of America.
The big news is that England U19 international Dominic Solanke and Kenneth Omeruo were omitted from the 30-man roster, fueling speculation that they may not feature for the first team team of the Londoners in the new season.
But defender Fikayo Tomori and teenage striker Tammy Abraham, who represented the Young Lions at the Euros in Germany, traveled with the squad to the United States.
Promising defender Ola Aina and Nigeria international Victor Moses have both been given the opportunity to showcase their skills at the training camp, having made the squad list.
The Blues will face Liverpool, Real Madrid and AC Milan in the International Champions Cup during their USA tour.
