Nigerian Duo Omitted From Manchester United Europa League Roster
Published: September 05, 2016
Nigerian duo Tosin Kehinde and Matthew Olosunde have been omitted from Manchester United’s Europa League roster submitted to the parent body of European Football, UEFA.
The Red Devils manager Jose Mourinho has nominated twenty seven players for his team’s Europa League campaign without including the two teenagers.
While the omission of Olosunde, who joined Manchester United in March, is not a surprise, it remains unclear why Kehinde was omitted from the roster by the Portuguese coach as he has been on the books of the club for more than two seasons and eligible to be on the B list, as per the official website of the club.
The two 18-year-olds are yet to play a single minute of football for the first team in competitive fixtures since their arrival at Old Trafford.
Manchester United will face Fenerbahce, Feyenoord and Zorya Luhansk in Group A of the Europa League.
