Taye Academy supremo Kennedy Ezenwere has revealed that his former pupil Kelechi Iheanacho has always dreamt of facing Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi, adding that the Nigeria international will play a key role in Wednesday night’s Champions League tie at the Camp Nou.
And the man credited with the discovery of the 20-year-old Manchester City striker has boasted that the Super Eagles star is a better player now than Messi was nine years ago.
“Kelechi will play a marvelous game tonight if he is selected by Guardiola, he will either score or assist. The whole world will talk about Kelechi after the game, ” Ezenwere told allnigeriasoccer.com.
“He can match Messi, Neymar and Suarez. He told me in confidence that he wants to play against Messi and Neymar, his dream will come true, he will deal with Barcelona.
“Kelechi has the potential, he won’t shake or play with anxiety. He is better than Messi when he was 20.”
