Published: December 19, 2016
Inter Milan are on the brink of announcing the signing of Nigeria international John Obi Mikel, according to several reports in the Italian media.
Tuttomercatoweb.com has claimed that the Chelsea midfielder will join the Nerazzurri on a free loan, including a non-mandatory buy-back clause, after which he might have become a free agent.
It has also been suggested that Mikel has given Inter Milan chiefs his word that he will join the club next month.
That said, the Serie A side face competition for the signature of the 29-year-old, with Marseille, Valencia and teams in China monitoring his situation.
The defensive midfielder has played nonstop at Chelsea for more than ten years.
