Not Fabian Senninger, Name Of German-Born Striker Rohr Plans To Call Up For AFCON Qualifier
Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has reconfirmed that he plans to hand a call-up to a German-based striker, also eligible to represent Germany, for the national team’s first African Cup of Nations qualifiers in March.

The former Bayern Munich defender had earlier stated that the player used to play in the Bundesliga before his team suffered relegation at the end of last season, without revealing his identity.

It is a no-brainer that Rohr was referring to Hannover exciting young striker Noah-Joel Sarenren-Bazee amid suggestions that left back Fabian Senninger, who plays in the fourth tier, was under consideration.

“I will look at another Nigerian-German player who I discovered. I think we can see him in the next game in March,” Rohr told reporters.

“There is also the young (Victor) Osimhen, who from January 1 can now play professionally for Wolfsburg. I will look at him.

“We have a good competition among the strikers in the team.”

Noah-Joel Sarenren-Bazee, 20, has suited up six times in the 2 Bundesliga this season, scoring one goal and providing four assists.
