Published: January 19, 2017
Promising Nigerian midfielder Nathan Tella has to look for a new employer in the summer.
Arsenal youth-team expert Jeorge Bird has reported via his blog, arsenalyouth.wordpress.com, that the Gunners higher-ups have informed Tella that he won’t be offered a professional contract at the end of this season.
He joined Arsenal as an Under-9 player and was promoted to the U18s after rising through the ranks.
This season, the youngster has recorded 9 appearances ( 5 starts) for the U18s, logging 538 minutes.
Sources close to Tella earlier informed allnigeriasoccer.com that he will not reject an invitation to the Nigerian national teams in future, so long as the NFF approach him before his country of birth, England.
