Exclusive: China-Bound Ighalo To Miss Millwall Clash, Agent Jets Into London Sunday For Transfer Talks
Published: January 28, 2017
According to information gathered by allnigeriasoccer.com, there are indications that Odion Ighalo will end his close to three-year association with Watford before the close of the transfer window.
Last weekend, manager Walter Mazzarri gave the fans a hint that a transfer is in the offing for his number 24 when he introduced him for the last two minutes of the 2-2 draw with Bournemouth.
Though the Super Eagles star is in tip-top condition, he will not be selected for Sunday afternoon’s FA Cup tie with Millwall, an approach used by managers to avoid players picking up unfortunate injuries before completing a transfer.
On Sunday, Ighalo’s Norwegian-based intermediary Atta Aneke will make the 716-mile trip from Oslo to London for final negotiations with Watford over the transfer of his client to a Chinese Super League team.
