Former Golden Eaglets and Dream Team VI invitee Nansel Selbol came off the bench to score for Sporting Kansas City in their 2-1 loss to New England Revolution in a pre-season friendly staged at Kino Sports Complex on Tuesday.

The attacking midfielder entered into the fray in the 75th minute, before he registered his name on the scorecard five minutes later after firing home a cross from Duke.

Selbol has been invited to train with the first team of Sporting Kansas after honing his skills for Swope Park Rangers during the 2016 season.

The COD United product has been offered to Spanish giants Barcelona ahead of the reopening of the transfer window.

Next up for Selbol and his Sporting KC teammates, including Ike Opara, is the Desert Diamond Cup, which will take place at Kino Sports Complex from February 15-25.
