Four Players Of Nigerian Descent Start For England U16s In Win Over ItalyFour players of Nigerian descent were on parade from the very beginning as England U16s registered a 3-1 victory over Italy in their final game of the 2017 UEFA Under-16 Development Tournament.

After the Young Lions conceded five goals against Spain in their second game of the tourney, Arsenal schoolboy Arthur Okonkwo returned to the starting XI and he was joined by teammate Bukayo Saka, West Brom defender Tom Solanke and Chelsea starlet Faustino Anjorin.

Manchester City defender Nathaniel Ogbeta and Arsenal midfielder Xavier Amaechi started on the bench for Dan Micciche’s side.

The tournament at St. George’s Park was used to prepare the squad for next year’s UEFA European U17 Championship.
