Norwegian First Division club IK Start have bolstered their squad ahead of the new season with the signing of Nigeria international Ibrahim Abubakar from Gee-Lec Football Academy, Jos.

The offensive all-rounder has appended his signature to a three-year contract that will keep him at Kristiansand until the end of the 2019 season.

IK Start decided to offer Abubakar a contract after he impressed manager Steinar Pedersen during trials that lasted four days.

For the upcoming season, the 22-year-old will suit up with the number nineteen shirt, allnigeriasoccer.com has been informed.

He trained with Sarpsborg 08 before having another audition at IK Start.
