Official: Celtic, Efe Wave Goodbye As Hibs Confirm Signing Of Defender
Published: March 01, 2017
Through a statement on its official webpage, Scottish Championship outfit Hibernian F.C has confirmed the signing of Nigeria international Efe Ambrose.
With the 28-year-old signing a deal until the end of the 2016-2017 season, it means he has ended his association with Celtic as his contract with the Scottish champs will run out in June.
The paperwork has been completed in time for Ambrose to make his competitive debut in tonight’s match away to St Mirren in the Ladbrokes Championship.
Ambrose’s previous clubs include Kaduna United, Bayelsa United and MS Ashdod in Israel.
He was linked with a move to Blackburn Rovers in the January transfer window but the deal did not materialize because of red tape.
