Ex-Watford Star Ighalo Clarifies : I Am Not The Substantive Captain Of Changchun Yatai Changchun Yatai marquee signing Odion Ighalo has revealed that he is not the substantive captain of the Chinese Super League club.

In the first two games in the top-flight, the former Watford star was handed the captain armband
’s by manager Lee Jang-soo fueling speculation that he is now the leader of the team on the pitch.

“I am not the captain of Changchun Yatai, but for the last two games I did captain the team, ” Ighalo told allnigeriasoccer.com.

“The (substantive) captain played both matches.

Though Ighalo has played down the possibility of being appointed as substantive skipper of
Changchun Yatai, he is now new to responsibilities, having captained the Nigerian U20 national team at the Fifa Under 20 World Cup in 2009.
