Tottenham Hotspur Defender Eyoma Named In England U17 SquadTottenham Hotspur defender Timothy Eyoma has been named in the England U17 squad list for their forthcoming European U17 Championship qualifiers.

The 17-year-old is the only player of Nigerian heritage included on Steve Cooper’s 18-man roster.

The Young Lions are off to Bosnia next week and will face the hosts, Czech Republic and Slovenia in a round-robin tournament, with the winner and seven best runners-up qualifying for the U17 Euros this summer.

Three years ago, Josh Onomah, Dominic Solanke and Mandela Egbo played a key role as England won the U17 title in Malta, with the Chelsea striker named top scorer of the competition.

Born and raised in Hackney, Eyoma featured for England Under-15s and Under-16s before he was promoted to the U17s.
