NFF Rule On Availability Of Chelsea Ace Moses For Senegal, Burkina Faso Friendlies

The Nigeria Football Federation will make a decision regarding the availability of Chelsea star Victor Moses for the Super Eagles upcoming friendlies on Saturday, March 18.
Ahead of the international break, the versatile winger is struggling to be fit for club and country after he was forced off with a suspected calf strain in the closing minutes of Chelsea’s 1-0 win over Manchester United on Monday.
“We are in contact with Victor Moses everyday and we are waiting for him to tell us he won’t be available for the games, he hasn’t said that yet as at Thursday night, ” a Nigeria Football Federation insider told allnigeriasoccer.com.
“If he is not in the Chelsea squad to play Stoke City on Saturday, we will have to excuse him from the friendlies.
“The coaches made provisions for late withdrawals and that’s the reason why 25 players were called up.”
One question Chelsea manager Antonio Conte will definitely be asked when he faces the national press on Friday is the status of Moses, and his comments can assist the Nigerian Federation make an earlier decision.
Moses has not played a friendly game for the Super Eagles for about three years, with his last appearance coming against the United States just before the 2014 World Cup.
