Moses Did Not Fake Injury Ahead Of Senegal Friendly, Out Of Chelsea Squad For First Time This Season
Published: April 01, 2017
Chelsea coach Antonio Conte has named his starting line-up for the Premier League clash against Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon, starting from 1500 hours.
The big news pertaining to Nigeria fans is Super Eagles winger Victor Moses was unable to pass a late fitness test and has not been named in the Blues 18-man squad for a Premier League fixture for the first time this season.
This ends speculation once and for all that he faked an injury leading up to the international friendly between Nigeria and Senegal at the Hive Stadium.
Moses, 26, had started the last 22 matches played by Chelsea in the Premier League, scoring 2 goals and providing 3 assists.
Despite the absence of the ex-Stoke City star, Super Eagles hopeful Ola Aina remains frozen out of the Blues squad, and the same goes for England U20 star Dominic Solanke.
Chelsea Starting XI : Courtois; Azpilicueta, David Luiz, Cahill (c); Pedro, Kante, Matic, Alonso; Fabregas, Diego Costa, Hazard
Substitutes : Begovic, Zouma, Terry, Chalobah, Loftus-Cheek, Willian, Batshuayi.
