Chelsea, Real Madrid Target Alaba Prefers Move To Barcelona
Published: April 20, 2017
David Alaba would prefer a move to Barcelona ahead of Real Madrid if he departs German champions Bayern Munich.
Diario Gol claims Real Madrid president Florentino Perez recently held talks with Bayern Munich over the signing of the defender and their answer was negative.
The European champions are in the market for a left full-back as Fabio Coentrao is expected to bid farewell to the club after six years in the summer.
Barcelona are also mulling over a move for Alaba with the future of Jordi Alba up in the air.
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is an admirer of the Austria international and will bid for him if the transfer is approved by Roman Abramovich.
Alaba has played nonstop at Bayern Munich for the past nine years and rose through the ranks before making his first team debut against SpVgg Greuther Furth in February 2010.
