Two-Goal Hero Akinola Named MOTM As USA Show Their Class Against Jamaica In WCQIn a 2017 CONCACAF U-17 Championship showdown between the United States and Jamaica on Sunday, American-born Nigerian wonderkid Ayo Akinola bagged a brace in his team's 5-0 win over the Caribbean Island nation.

The Toronto striker led the way with two goals and an assist in the game staged at Estadio Maracana de Panama.

Akinola was chosen in attack ahead of Timothy Weah, and provided an assist for the son of former Chelsea striker George Weah to double the United States advantage in the 77th minute.

The 17-year-old opened his account in the competition two minutes before full-time, firing a low drive past the goalkeeper, before adding more gloss to the scoreline with an unstoppable shot from outside the box in the second minute of stoppage time.

The official website of the United States Soccer Federation named Akinola Man of the Match for his outstanding performance.
