World Exclusive: Celtic Hoping To Beat FC Copenhagen, AIK To NPFL Goal Machine Odey
Published: April 29, 2017
Allnigeriasoccer.com has been informed that Scottish champions Celtic have set the ball rolling in their bid to sign Nigerian Professional Football League top scorer Stephen Odey in the summer transfer market.
The Mountain of Fire FC sensation is edging towards a move to the United Kingdom, with The Bhoys sending him an official letter of invitation for medical evaluation.
Celtic termed it 'medial evaluation', but it is thought Odey will only be offered a contract if he impresses the coaching staff during trials.
A deal will not be easy for Celtic, however, as the 19-year-old is attracting concrete interest from Swedish club AIK Stockholm and a top scout from FC Copenhagen is in contact with his entourage.
Stephen Okey has scored 14 goals for MFM and is one of the home based players being considered for a training camp in Corsica ahead of the national team's African Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa.
