Everton Join Borussia Dortmund In Race For Man City Striker Iheanacho
Published: May 18, 2017
Everton are interested in signing Kelechi Iheanacho from Manchester City when the transfer window opens for business in the coming weeks, according to reports.
The Sun claims that the Toffees are set to launch a shock £20 million summer bid for the Nigeria national-teamer as a possible replacement for Romelu Lukaku, who is on the wishlist of Chelsea and Manchester United.
The future of Kelechi Iheanacho at Man City is not certain after falling down manager Pep Guardiola's pecking order of strikers.
Ronald Koeman has been alerted to the fact that the 20-year-old has been declared surplus to requirements, and will make a move for the Nigerian in the event that Lukaku departs Goodison Park.
Iheanacho has also been heavily linked with a move to Bundesliga clubs Borussia Dortmund and Hoffenheim.
Last August, the Taye Academy product signed a long-term contract that ties him to the Citizens until June 30, 2021.
