Published: May 20, 2017
Allnigeriasoccer.com has been informed that the United States Soccer Federation are ahead of their Nigerian and English counterparts in the race to secure the international future of promising Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Owen Otasowie.
Otasowie was invited to train with the United States national team for players born in 2001 earlier this season, but he couldn't honour the call-up due to club duties.
Having said that, the central midfielder has not ruled out the possibility of representing the Americans if he is called upon in future.
Ayo Akinola, Matthew Olosunde, Fatai Alashe and Gboly Ariyibi presently represent the United States youth teams, though they remain eligible to wear the jersey of Nigeria.
Owen Otasowie has been offered a two-year scholarship deal by Wolves ahead of the resumption of pre-season training.
