Ex-Chelsea Ace Mikel Drops Biggest Hint Yet He Is Ready To Face South Africa
Published: May 21, 2017
Tianjin Teda marque signing John Obi Mikel has dropped the biggest hint yet that he will be available for the Super Eagles upcoming African Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa amid concerns about his fitness.
The Super Eagles captain has posted a photo on social media where he was undergoing rehabilitation at the gym.
''On the road to recovery 💪🏾 can't wait to get back on the pitch with TEDA and my National Team #TianjinTeda #SuperEagles ⚽️,'' Mikel said on Instagram.
The 30-year-old Mikel has missed the last seven matches contested by Tianjin Teda in the Chinese Super League and went under the knife in England at the end of April.
He is expected to resume training at Tianjin Teda next week, all things being equal.
