Eupen Confirm Arsenal Target Onyekuru Will Report For International Duty Today
Published: May 23, 2017
Belgian First Division A outfit Eupen have celebrated the maiden call-up of their star man Henry Onyekuru to the Nigerian national team for the first time in his career.
Eupen have more or less dismissed rumours that the attacker will not show up in the Super Eagles camp until Friday, with The Pandas confirming that he will fly off to Corsica on Tuesday where the Super Eagles are holding their training camp.
It was earlier claimed that Onyekuru will delay his arrival because he was thrashing out terms with an unnamed club over a transfer from Eupen.
Only yesterday, the 19-year-old finished eighth in the Belgian Footballer of the Year at a gala ceremony in Ghent, and took third in the Young Footballer of the Year category.
Arsenal are the latest club being linked with a swoop for the prolific striker but face competition from Premier League, Belgian and German teams.
