Liverpool On Brink Of Deal For Chelsea's Nigerian Goal Poacher
Published: May 30, 2017
Liverpool are on the brink of announcing the capture of England U20 international of Nigerian heritage Dominic Solanke.
Various reports in the United Kingdom claim that the Reds will have to pay three million pounds for the striker, a fee that has to be determined by a tribunal since he is under the age of 24.
Solanke has been linked with possible moves to Arsenal, Celtic and Red Bull Leipzig, but Liverpool are confident they have won the race for his signature.
Apart from a season-long loan spell at Vitesse back in the 2015-16 season, the 19-year-old has played nonstop at Chelsea for the past thirteen years, rising through the ranks before he was handed his first team debut by Jose Mourinho in a Champions League clash against NK Maribor in October 2014.
The Reading-born talent will team up with ex-Golden Eaglets trainee Ovie Ejaria, Sheyi Ojo and Bobby Adekanye at Liverpool next season if his transfer to Anfield materializes.
