Ex-Arsenal Striker, Approached By Nigeria, Scores Maiden Goal For England Former Arsenal youth-teamer Fejiri Okenabirhie netted his maiden goal for England C as they were beaten on penalties by Jersey in a friendly on Tuesday.

Okenabirhie came off the bench in the 60th minute and it turned out to be an inspired substitution, with the Dagenham & Redbridge frontman scoring thirty seconds after his introduction.

The Channel Islanders equalized with almost the last kick of the match, so the winner had to the determined via a penalty shoot-out, which the Three Lions lost.

Ex-Stoke City striker of Nigerian descent James Alabi, a second half substitute, was one of two England players that failed to convert from the spot in the shoot-out, while Okenabirhie was successful.

The Three Lions squad comprised of Non League players under the age of 23.

Okenabirhie and Alabi were handed their England debuts by manager Paul Fairclough in the 2-1 win over Panjab FA at the start of this week.
