Super Eagles Swap The Pitch For The Gym, Chelsea's Omeruo Among Three Players Expected
Published: June 05, 2017
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that only three players invited for the African Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa this coming Saturday are still being expected to arrive at the Le Meridian Golf and Resort Hotel in Uyo.
The players include Ahmed Musa (Leicester City), Elderson Echiejile (Monaco) and Kenneth Omeruo (Chelsea).
With the Nigeria Football Federation confirming that 21 players are now in camp, it means they have sanctioned the invitation of Watford midfielder Uche Agbo, who was initially left out of the roster when it was released last week.
The Super Eagles were due to have their first training session in Uyo on Monday afternoon, starting from 1600 hours but it was shelved because the full complement of players were not in camp and they hit the gym instead.
The squad will have their first training session since their return from Paris on Tuesday, June 6.
