White Smoke : Fidelis Leaves Porto For Cypriot Club AEL Limassol
Published: June 16, 2017
Irhene Fidelis Christopher has joined Cypriot Club AEL Limassol from Portuguese side FC Porto for an undisclosed fee
Fidelis, who joined Porto in 2014, spent two seasons on loan at Portuguese second-tier club Portimonense SC, a side he helped to gain promotion to the Portuguese Primeira Liga at the close of last Season.
He had told allnigeriasoccer.com last month he would be returning to Porto but would only stay at the club if talks between his representatives would positively affect his progress.
It is expected his grassroots club, Gee-Lec Soccer Academy in Jos, Plateau State, would also benefit from the transfer fee.
The ambitious Cypriot side are hoping the acquisition of the former Mighty Jets of Jos and Wikki Tourists of Bauchi midfielder would enhance their chances of putting out a commanding performance in the domestic league as well as the Europa League next season.
