Youngest Nigerian To Feature In EPL Benched As Sweden Are Held By Poland

Sunderland wonderkid Joel Asoro was an unused substitute as Sweden surrendered a one-goal lead to draw 2-2 with hosts Poland in their second group match at the ongoing European U21 Championship.
Lukasz Moneta opened the scoring for the Polish early on but Carlos Strandberg equalized with a header nine minutes before the intermission.
The Scandinavians went into the break with a one-goal advantage courtesy of Jacob Une Larsson's 41st minute header, before Dawid Kownacki equalized from the penalty spot in the first minute of stoppage time.
Asoro, 18, will be hoping to make his debut in the European Championship when the Swedes face Slovakia at the Arena Lublin, Lublin on Thursday, June 22.
He was ineligible to be fielded against England because he was serving a suspension.
