Chelsea Striker Of Nigerian Descent Backed To Represent England At World Cup If ......Chelsea striker of Nigerian descent Tammy Abraham has been tipped to represent England at the 2018 World Cup in Russia if he seals a loan move to Swansea City and scores goals as he did for Bristol City.

Camberwell-born Abraham has been capped by England at U18, U19 and U21 levels, but the Nigeria Football Federation remain hopeful that he will switch his international allegiance to the Super Eagles before the World Cup.

The talented striker has progressed beyond his peers, so much so that he was promoted to England U21 team without an appearance for the U20s.

@footyfragmento tweeted : ''Tammy Abraham to Swansea on loan looks to be on the cards. That's got to be a good move for both clubs. Can he score goals in the PL?''

England youth teams expert Youth Hawk replied : ''If he does, he'll probably go to the World Cup.''

Everton midfielder of Nigerian descent Ross Barkley was a member of England squad at the 2014 World Cup.
