Vitesse Leak Information That Chelsea's Nigerian Goal Poacher Will Join Swansea City
Published: June 26, 2017
Dutch Eredivisie side Vitesse Arnhem have thrown in the towel in their pursuit of England U21 international of Nigerian heritage Tammy Abraham.
Abraham, 19, was one of the candidates to replace Van Wolfswinkel at Vitesse next season but manager Henk Fraser has revealed that the striker has agreed terms to join Premier League side Swansea City.
''We were hoping to sign Tammy Abraham on loan, but he will go to Swansea. That's disappointing for us,'' said Henk Fraser.
It is believed that Newcastle United and Brighton & Hove made contact with Chelsea before Abraham accepted to move to the Swans on a season-long loan.
He scored 26 goals in all competitions while on loan at Bristol City during the 2016-17 season.
