Official : Manchester United Legend Rejoins Everton After Thirteen Years
Published: July 09, 2017
Both Manchester United and Everton have informed via their official webpage that England star Wayne Rooney has completed his transfer to the Toffees.
While the financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed by the two clubs, Everton have confirmed that the attacker has penned a deal until the end of the 2018-2019 season.
''It is no secret that I have long been an admirer of Wayne; he has been a model professional throughout his time at the club and will remain in the history books for many years to come,'' manager Mourinho told Man Utd's official website.
"It is never easy to see a great player playing less football than he would like and I could not stand in his way when he asked to go back to Everton.''
The 31-year-old Rooney scored 17 goals in 77 outings for Everton between 2002 and 2004 before he departed for Manchester United.
