Official : Manchester United Loan Out World Cup-Winning Goalkeeper
Published: July 11, 2017
Premier League giants Manchester United have loaned out the promising goalkeeper Dean Henderson to League One side Shrewsbury Town for the 2017/18 season.
The highly-rated netminder was a member of the England squad that won the Fifa U20 World Cup in South Korea this summer, and was in between the pipes when the Young Lions were held to a 1-1 draw by Guinea.
This is the third time since Henderson's transfer to Old Trafford that he has been farmed out on loan, having spent last season on a temporary basis at Grimsby Town and Shrewsbury Town.
The 20-year-old has yet to debut for United's first team, but made the bench for the Emirates FA Cup win at Blackburn Rovers in February.
He defended the colours of Carlisle United before joining the Red Devils at the age of 14.
