Published: July 16, 2017
The versatile defender Ola Aina made his maiden appearance for Hull City in their 2-1 loss to Oxford United in a pre-season friendly at their training camp in Portugal on Saturday night.
In a 4-4-1-1 formation, the Chelsea loanee was deployed as a left wing-back by manager Leonid Slutsky for the game staged at the Estadio da Nora.
The Tigers coach made several changes to his starting XI before the second half started, which saw Aina substituted.
Wes Thomas bagged a brace for Oxford United before Adama Diomande halved the deficit 16 minutes from time.
A former England U19 skipper, Aina is spending the whole of the 2017-2018 season on loan at Hull City due to his lack of first team opportunities at Chelsea.
