Chelsea To Decide Between Number Eight And Nine Jersey For Record Signing MorataChelsea are set to make a decision on whether to hand club-record signing álvaro Morata the number eight or nine jersey for the forthcoming season.

The Premier League champions announced the acquisition of the Spain international on a five-year deal from Real Madrid on Friday, July 21, and immediately updated his profile on their official webpage.

Morata is in between two players N'Golo Kanté and Eden Hazard, who wear the number seven and ten jerseys respectively, on the updated players list, meaning he has to choose either the number eight or nine jersey.

In recent games for the Spanish national team, Morata suited up with the number seven kit, he wore the number twenty one jersey in his last club Real Madrid, and was allocated the number nine shirt at Juventus.

Morata has become the most expensive Spanish player in history following his transfer to Chelsea, with his transfer fees expected to rise to 80 million euros with add-ons.
