Leicester City Confirm They Are On The Brink Of Completing Signing Of Iheanacho
Published: July 22, 2017
Leicester City have confirmed that they are interested in snapping up Kelechi Iheanacho from Manchester City this summer and hope to close the deal in the coming days.
The Foxes vice chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha says they will sign at least one more player before the transfer window closes for business on August 31.
''Yes, we have interest in him (Iheanacho). But we have to wait for Manchester City's stance on this, as they are still in their pre-season as well. If it happens, it will be soon,'' Srivaddhanaprabha told reporters.
''Leicester City's transfer market is not over yet. We just signed three players and there will be at least one more.''
Iheanacho was left out of Manchester City's pre-season squad to the United States and manager Pep Guardiola confirmed that the striker is set to depart the Etihad Stadium outfit.
This website understands that the Super Eagles star has agreed a five-year deal with Leicester City.
