Manchester United beat European champions Real Madrid 2-1 on penalties in a pre-season fixture at the Levi's Stadium (Santa Clara, California) on Sunday night
The Red Devils won their first three pre-season games against LA Galaxy, Real Salt Lake and Manchester City in the United States.
Jesse Lingard nearly opened the scoring for United in the ninth minute after having a go from the edge of the area, but goalkeeper Navas saved his effort, and the England winger came close again five minutes before half-time but his shot was inches wide of the post.
The match was scoreless until the first minute of first-half stoppage time when the Manchester United number 14 gave his side the lead, taking a feed from Anthony Martial and tapping the ball past the keeper.
Casemiro got Real Madrid on the board in the 69th minute, scoring from the penalty spot after Lindelof fouled Hernandez around the penalty area.
Both teams could not be separated at the end of regulation play and the game went to penalty shootouts, which was won by Jose Mourinho's side.
