Valerenga's Nigerian Iniesta Ahead Of Friendly: I Am Not Scared Of Man Utd's Pogba, Lukaku
Published: July 29, 2017
Young Nigerian winger Chidera Ejike, otherwise called Nigerian Iniesta, has insisted that he is not quaking in his boots ahead of Sunday evening's high-profile friendly between Vålerenga and Manchester United at the Ullevaal Stadion (Oslo).
Despite penning his first professional contract with the Norwegian Tippeligaen club barely four months ago following a successful trial, Ejike has played down suggestions that it would be the biggest match of his career if he is fielded by manager Ronny Deila.
The likes of Blind, Fellaini, Herrera, Pogba, Mkhitaryan, Lukaku and Rashford are in line to feature against the Norwegian opponents.
''I am just looking forward to play with the big stars like Pogba and Lukaku, it has been my dream to play with them,'' Ejike told allnigeriasoccer.com.
''We are hoping for the best of the game tomorrow, and hope for a good result.
''I don't think there is anything to panic about the game facing these players, it is just to do the normal things if I'm given the chance to play.''
Former Liverpool trialist Ejike has suited up six times for Vålerenga's first team in all competitions so far this season, and has played nine games for the second team in the PostNord-ligaen Avd. 1.
