Injury Prevents Liverpool From Watching Bayern Munich's Nigerian Wing-Back Alaba
Published: August 09, 2017
Premier League club Liverpool were interested in last weekend's German Super Cup match between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.
The well informed Scouts In Attendance says a Liverpool scout was at the German Super Cup on August 5, and 18-year-old Dortmund midfielder Christian Pulisic scored a lovely goal against the Bundesliga champions.
But that's not to say Pulisic was the main target for Liverpool as their representative was at Signal-Iduna-Park to run the rule over the top talents on both teams.
Austrian-born Nigerian left wing-back David Alaba could not feature in the Super Cup because of a bruised hip, but he's expected to return to Bayern's squad for this weekend's clash against Chemnitzer FC.
Alaba has been linked with Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal in the past.
