Jose Mourinho continued his unbeaten start to a Premier League season after Manchester United beat Angelo Ogbonna's West Ham 4-0 at Old Trafford on the opening weekend of the English top-flight on Sunday afternoon.
On 33 minutes, West Ham were exposed which allowed Belgian international Romelu Lukaku to net his first Premier League goal for the Red Devils.
The big money signing from Everton finished off a swift counter attack when he lashed the ball home off the near post after a brilliant pass from Marcus Rashford.
In the last meaningful action of the first half, the Hammers could have snatched an equalizer but David de Gea made a world-class save to deny Fernandes.
Six minutes into the second half, Lukaku netted his third competitive goal in a Manchester United shirt, he scored with a header after an excellent delivery from Henrik Mkhitaryan.
United were three to the good when substitute Anthony Martial found space and finished clinically in the 87th minute, before Paul Pogba steered the ball into the bottom corner to make it 4-0 in the 90th minute.
Former Manchester United striker Javier Hernández and Ogbonna went the distance for West Ham, while Matic had another good game for his new employers.
