Through a statement on their official webpage, newly-promoted La Liga club Girona have confirmed the signing of Olarenwaju Kayode on a season-long loan.
The Nigeria international has been shipped out on loan to Girona by Manchester City as he is not yet eligible to be granted a work permit in the United Kingdom.
The 24-year-old had attracted interest from several clubs in Europe after he was crowned the top scorer in the Austrian Bundesliga last season while wearing the jersey of Austria Wien.
Kayode had stops at ASEC Mimosas and Maccabi Netanya before joining Austria Wien in 2015.
