Chelsea Loanee Abraham: Man Utd Coach Mourinho Advised Me To Keep Scoring Goals
Published: August 18, 2017
Chelsea loanee Tammy Abraham is poised to make his competitive home debut for Swansea City against Manchester United on Saturday, August 19.
If Abraham is named in the squad to face the Red Devils, he will be reunited with his childhood idol Jose Mourinho, who was the coach of Chelsea when he was was climbing the ranks of their Academy.
''When Jose Mourinho was Chelsea manager the first time around, I was a young boy and I took pictures of him when I saw him at the training ground,” Abraham was quoted as saying by the official website of the Swans.
''During his second spell in charge, I trained with the first team quite a few times.
''He gave me some wise words. He said stay focused, keep scoring goals and being hungry and you will get your chance. Luckily I got it towards the end of that season.''
Abraham joined Chelsea at the age of six and appeared two times for their first team before loan spells at Bristol City and Swansea.
