VVV Venlo Edging Closer To Signing Arsenal And Real Madrid Midfielders
Published: August 20, 2017
Newly promoted Dutch Eredivisie club VVV Venlo are edging closer to completing the signing of Nigeria U20 international Kelechi Nwakali.
Only the signature and work permit are missing as Arsenal have agreed to loan out the attacking midfielder to the Limburg based club for the 2017-2018 season.
''We will have a talent from Borussia Dortmund, a talent from Real Madrid (Mink Peeters) and a talent from Arsenal (Nwakali) , which gives us more opportunities,'' VVV manager Maurice Steijn said to L1 Radio.
''The twenty players selected are therefore in quality, and that's what you want.''
Kelechi Nwakali is back in Nigeria awaiting the decision of the Dutch Embassy in Accra regarding his work permit application.
The former Golden Eaglets sensation spent last season on loan at MVV.
