Two Premier League teams Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur sent scouts to monitor the UEFA Champions League game between Young Boys and CSKA Moscow on August 15, 2017.
Aaron Samuel (Nigeria), Jean-Pierre Nsamé (Cameroon), Kasim Adams Nuhu (Ghana), Sekou Sanogo (Ivory Coast) and Roger Assalé (Ivory Coast) were the African stars that featured in the playoff round at STADE DE SUISSE Wankdorf Bern (Bern).
Scouts in Attendance making reference to Swiss newspaper Blick has suggested that the Spurs and Magpies scouts specifically came to run the rule over Ghanaian central defender Kasim Adams Nuhu, who scored a sensational own goal in injury time.
Super Eagles striker Aaron Samuel was offered to Everton before agreeing terms with CSKA Moscow in 2016.
The 23-year-old was in action for 36 minutes against Young Boys.
