Man Utd Set For Another Fight With Chelsea Over Signing Of Top Nigerian Midfielder
Published: August 22, 2017
The English media is linking England international of Nigerian descent Dele Alli with a departure from Tottenham Hotspur in the near future, as he is considering changing his agent Rob Segal.
The Daily Mail claims Alli wants to end his association with Segal, the intermediary that brokered the deal that took him from MK Dons to Spurs in 2015.
The imminent change of intermediaries is a handwriting on the wall that the attacking midfielder, who is officially regarded as the most promising youngster in the Premier League, wants to leave Tottenham or negotiate for higher wages.
He currently earns about 60,000 pounds a week, which could be significantly higher if he joins one of the big four teams in England.
Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City are interested in taking Alli under contract, but face competition from Real Madrid, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.
Dele Alli has a contract with Tottenham Hotspur until June 30, 2022, having penned a new deal last September.
