Chelsea, Arsenal And Liverpool In Three-Way Fight For N28.4B-Rated Defender

Chelsea are battling Liverpool and Arsenal to land the signature of Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk, according to reports.
The Sun says the Dutch defender is poised to leave Southampton in the coming days after a series of rows with the club, with Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal all interested.
The Saints higher-ups have stated that the former Celtic star is not for sale but he has submitted a transfer request to force through a move before the window closes on August 31.
Virgil van Dijk is valued at 60 million pounds (N28.4 billion) by Southampton, a fee the three interested clubs are ready to meet.
The arrival of Hoedt at Southampton has fueled speculation that the club are making provisions in case they receive a big offer for Virgil van Dijk.
