Victor Moses, Mikel, Ndidi Named In Starting XI Vs Cameroon, Iheanacho Bench
Published: September 01, 2017
Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr has announced his starting line-up for Friday evening's vital World Cup qualifier against Cameroon at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, starting from 1700 hours.
As previously reported by allnigeriasoccer.com, Chelsea loanee Ola Aina will not make his competitive debut for the Super Eagles as Fifa has not yet approved a change of association from England to Nigeria.
Rohr had already decided two days ago to start FC Ifeanyi Ubah goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa and he's sticking to the original plan.
The German has opted to field a back four with Abdullahi Shehu, William Troost-Ekong, Leon Balogun and Elderson Echiejile all starting.
Eddy Onazi has gotten the nod over Oghenekaro Etebo in midfield, while captain Obi Mikel and Wilfred Ndidi also start.
Up front, the triumvirate of Odion Ighalo, Chelsea ace Victor Moses and Gent dazzler Moses Simon will start the game.
