UYL : Noah Okafor Makes Debut As Man Utd, Basel Play Out Seven-Goal Thriller Promising Nigerian midfielder Noah Okafor made his UEFA Youth League debut for FC Basel in their 4-3 loss to Manchester United U19s at Leigh Sports Village Company on Tuesday afternoon.

The 17-year-old entered in to the fray in the 53rd minute with his team trailing 2-1.

Aidan Barlow gave Manchester United the lead after six minutes, only for Pululu to restore parity on 14 minutes.

Indy Boonen scored five minutes out of intermission to put United back on top, before Angel Gomes scored from the penalty spot to double the advantage seven minutes later.

Lokaj reduced the deficit on 58 minutes, then the Red Devils scored through Bohui before Kaiser netted the final goal of the game in the 66th minute.

Okafor has sparkled for Switzerland U17s since he was promoted to the squad a year ago, scoring 3 goals from 7 matches while providing 2 assists.

If the midfielder decides to represent the Super Eagles in future, Fifa has to change his nationality as he has played competitively for Switzerland youth team.
