Kelechi Iheanacho : I'm Not Happy When I'm Not Scoring
Published: September 15, 2017
Kelechi Iheanacho reckons that he is now in tip-top condition after playing for Leicester City U23s in their 3-1 win over West Ham in the Premier League 2 on Monday, September 11.
The Nigeria international will be hoping to make the match day squad when the first team make the trip to the John Smith’s Stadium, where they face Huddersfield Town in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
''I’m great and feeling good. It’s always good to be back. I had a long game – 80 minutes – and it was great to get that,'' Iheanacho told Leicester City's official website.
''It was a great game and I enjoyed it. It will help me get my confidence back. They really work hard and when I watched them, they’re like machines.''
Iheanacho opened the scoring for the Foxes Development squad against the Hammers, and got on the score-sheet against tomorrow's opponents in last season's Emirates FA Cup while defending the colours of Manchester City.
''It’s always good to score. As a striker, I love scoring and when we’re not, we’re not that happy.
''It’s a great thing to score and I’m happy to get a goal and to help the team to get three points.,'' Iheanacho added.
